We recommend from 3 years onwards, but each child will be totally different. I have seen 2 year olds get up & surf with the straps, but my 2 year old will have nothing to do with it yet & is happy to watch her big brother surf with Dad. The most important thing is not to push your kids into using it before they are ready.
Does the Learn 2 Surf strap hurt their belly?
No it shouldn't, if it does then stop immediately.
The strap has to be tight around the base of the child's belly so there is no play, but not too tight so it hurts.

Yes, each batch is tested to pass the following standards:-
AS 1900-2002 Floatation aid for water familiarization and swimming tuition.
AS 2001.4.3 Methods of test for textiles - Colourfastness tests - Determination of colourfastness to rubbing.
The Learn 2 Surf Strap has been produced to meet the above standards. Each batch of Learn 2 Surf Straps is sampled and tested in an Australian laboratory to ensure this.

Yes absolutely! The Learn 2 Surf Strap passes AS 1900-2002 Floatation aid for water familiarization and swimming tuition so it can be used as such. Just make sure to wash it under clean water after each use.
